Saturn to Retrograde from Sagittarius to Scorpio

saturn_malmerCassini_5mSaturn in Sagittarius can be viewed as an invitation to take a hard look at what we believe and how that creates our lives. The planet in transit always asks us to get real or, if we’ve been doing that already, realer.

It wants us to check if we’re overlooking reality so that we don’t have to deal with the annoyances of grounding vision in the real world. When Saturn passes through this sign, it’s time for us to be willing to slow down the faith-based progress train in order to evaluate how things are working and how our assumptions and hopes might be blinding our view of how things actually work.

When it goes back into Scorpio (14Jun15 – 17Sep15), the story changes. Saturn in Scorpio is about a realistic look at what drives us, what we fear, and what we truly, deeply, want and need. We did that for a couple of years recently (October 2012 – December 2014) and we’re about to revisit it for a bit.

We have the chance to spend more time with why what we feel, think, and believe manifests as it does. Typically, we experience something in life without realizing why it’s happening. Saturn, the planet of realism and responsibility, in Scorpio, the sign of digging under the surface to locate and unearth psychological and emotional truths, can inspire insight into the whys behind what’s going on in life. First, assume that what is up for you is happening for a reason. Second, trust that it’s only in your life to show you something that you are vibrating into being. You need to see something about yourself so you can grow through learning to make ever more conscious choices (why each soul bothers to born as a human and is willing to go through this Earth trip as we do). But you can’t see it without it becoming manifest in front of you.

This is the why of everything: As a soul living human life, you need to learn about what you’re vibrating. Every detail of your life that looks to be outside the purview of your control or input is there because of this fact.

Back to Saturn: In Scorpio from mid June to mid September, you’ll get to dig below the surface and hear from ugly and fearful pieces of your psyche. Remember, it’s about realism about what under the surface – in the murky depths we usually don’t want to spend time in – is driving outer events. We have 3 months while Saturn retros back into and then stations in Scorpio to revisit this inner psychological/emotional spelunking to see the inner fear or pain source of what has manifested in front of us.

Dealing with someone else’s real or imagined power play? Look inward to find what part of your power you’re not owning. Trying to figure out why someone’s hiding something from you? Check inside to find out what you’re hiding from yourself. Tired of people who can’t look you in the eye and be direct? Scan your inner landscape for the truth about yourself you need to look in the eye.

Saturn transits aren’t bad. In fact, they’re not good, either. They bring questions about how realistic, grounded, mature, and responsible we’re willing to be.
