When I was young, all I wanted to know was why people did what they did - Why they believed what they believed, why they thought what they thought. Sometimes it looked like wanting to understand everything, but it was about everything to do with people. Finding the symbolic language that is astrology, I was pretty excited to learn that on a case-by-case basis, I could in fact do so. These days I use that language to help people understand themselves better and connect with what their souls came here to do.
Early in my astrology studies, I seemed frequently to come across the assumption that we don't have input into how our lives work. The idea that we might use astrology to learn how to take responsibility for ourselves, the circumstances of our lives and our behavior, seemed glaringly absent. I sensed astrology to be a marvelous tool to help put the sometimes unseen dynamics of people's lives in perspective in order to help them, so I read through astrological literature in search of something empowering and life-affirming. No matter what negative thing I was reading, no matter how much I wanted to tear my hair out, I focused on my belief, Each of us has choice in every moment.
Through an astrologer in his Apprenticeship Program, I encountered the work of Steven Forrest, one of the developers of Evolutionary Astrology. I read his books and felt at home, knowing immediately it was an approach I would be excited about using and sharing with others. In 2004 I entered Steven's apprenticeship program, and I am now a graduate of that program.
With a psychic opening asking that I pay attention to my already-strong intuition, I sought and received training to learn the skills to work with spirit guides and symbolic sight (seeing a thing and the cause of it simultaneously). This lead to learning to read and diagnose issues with and within chakras and to see the energetic causes that inform conditions and diseases within the body. As a psychic medium, I also work with disembodied spirits. I can help you heal family relationships in a reading or help those who have passed away resolve unfinished earthly business that might be keeping them here, helping them cross over. Separately, I have the Reiki II attunement, as well.
After spending several years progressively aligning my consciousness with that of the Ascended Master with whom I work, Djehuty, when you have a reading with me, someof what you hear is channeled from him directly and other information is based in how he sees you and your soul. I'm pleased to be able to offer this Master's no-nonsense approach because he is all about supporting you in your evolution, and he does so in gentle, supportive, and concise ways.
I've been channeling this same Master about what's happening on Earth at present and what we need to do to prepare for the end of the Mayan Calendar, usually referred to as 2012. As a result of what I've been shown about the need to clear our mental, physical, and emotional bodies of emotional/energetic debris that no longer serves us, my work has become focused on release. • integrating the messages in the body with the messages in the chart to support healing and wholeness (including how astrological symbols & archetypes and the chakras interface)
• reframing and raising the levels of dialogue on the archetypes of Lucifer (asteroid 1930) and Lilith (via the true Black Moon & the asteroid 1181)
• introducing to astrology the asteroid Arjunsuri (20300), the archetype of our evolving relationship with conscience
• exploring archetypes as processes, and our lives as mythic journeys, so we may learn to view the map of the path(s) we're on
I hold a bachelor's degree in philosophy from The College of Wooster. I'm also a writer of satire, absurd fiction, erotica, and poetry, at times a musician, and at other times a crafty linocut artist.
