Saturn Returns book

This book lays out a practical and positive/proactive view of the taskmaster and explains what the first and second Saturn returns (around ages 29.5 and 59, respectively) ask and challenge us to do. These are major milestone events and deserve special attention.
What this planet is trying to get us to do at its returns is experienced through the filter of our histories and attitudes about the energy of discipline, authority, and maturity. The book considers this as Saturn in the houses and signs is explored. The book also contains a useful "cookbook" section on the natal aspects of Saturn in a birth chart framed in terms of the challenges and invitations at each return.

Beginning in late 2007, I published eleven articles on The Cosmic Path website about how we live myths. After a myth's month was up, it was no longer available. This new collection puts nine of them together for the first time and adds five new chapters not included in the column or anywhere else.

Each looks at how people live the stories of mythological figures. The collection covers the difference between myth (how we're taught to live) and archetype (how we actually live), and how to make different choices with each story to have them turn out better than the myths tells us they should. Most myths are cautionary tales about how not to behave, after all! They don't often tell us how to navigate our stories in healthy ways, and this book does exactly that.

Included are chapters on Ceres, Pallas Athene, Juno, and Vesta (the four main asteroid goddesses used in astrology), Chiron, Arjunsuri, Lucifer, Ariadne, Persephone, and four on Lilith (yes, four!). A handful of life themes covered are learning to let go (Ceres), accepting the transition into going on our own into new territory (Persephone), evolving out of woundedness (Chiron), and learning to stand up for ourselves and establish healthy boundaries (Lilith).

This class goes into the symbolism of Uranus and Chiron individually (including channeling on new ways to view and use Chiron that I've been bringing through since early 2008), then looks at the opposition between them and how that dynamic plays out in each house pair. The opposition is then framed in the context of the energetic shifts we're living through now on Earth, and the invitation to learn to transcend the apparent argument between them that might keep us from fully inhabiting both our Uranian and Chironic selves.

Using the patriarchal war on the feminine that we’ve been living amid for a few thousand years as a backdrop, I trace the mythology of Lilith as a tool for social instruction about appropriate expression of femininity, and the archetype as we live it, a 9-stage process we find ourselves in as we live Lilith’s story. Lilith is approached as a route to deep emotional healing that can serve us as we navigate the changes taking place on Earth and within human consciousness at present.

I work with what it means to move beyond the prevailing assumptions about Lilith (that she’s demonic, that living a Lilith story is about destruction and revenge) so that you can understand how to recover a reconnection to your instinctive side in an authentic way that bypasses the assumption that being connected to instinct, and thereby the natural world, is evil. The first public presentation of over three years of work with the Lucifer archetype, this workshop separates the fear-inducing core of the Judeo-Christian myth of Samael/Lucifer from how we live this doubter's story. Samael/Lucifer's problems are basic human problems, and we each live his story in our explorations of the right size, kind and use of ego in our lives. Samael/Lucifer's bottom line is a desire to serve what he recognizes as greater than himself, and yet he must dissent in order to remain true to this desire. Piscean Age control-based religions teach us that dissent is evil, yet we are on the doorstep of the Aquarian Age, when doubt regarding and dissent against what doesn't make sense and is damaging is absolutely necessary for our continuted evolution. Living in the Present Tense: A Personal Astrological 2012 Prep Course

The end of the Mayan Calendar is on a lot of people's minds, and just what will happen and what it means is a mystery to most. Through my work as an intuitive and psychic medium, I've received information about how astrology can be used to support people in preparing for this major shift in consciousness on the Earth that will affect all its inhabitants, whether animal, vegetable or mineral.

In the years leading up to it, we're being challenged to live with a lot more information coming at us than ever before. To handle it and the changes taking place, we need to let go of old stuff we're carrying and learn to live in the present moment. The invitation is to process and release so that we can live with all of our chakras as tools, and not as distractions. Each house and sign section ends with a set of questions for self-reflection to help you see how the archetype applies to your life, aiming to open doors into how you experience and can improve your understanding of each. The questions are a sort of homeplay tailored to each placement to shine some light into some corners of your psyche that aren't often seen.
